Princess Kaguya grew at an astonishing rate and became a breathtakingly beautiful young woman. News of her beauty spread throughout the land, and many noblemen sought her hand in marriage. However, she set them impossible tasks, which none could accomplish.

やがて、かぐや姫は自分が月の世界から来たことを翁に打ち明けました。

そして、満月の夜に月の使者が迎えに来ることを告げました。

翁とその妻は悲しみ、かぐや姫を引き止めようとしましたが、約束の日になると天から光が降り注ぎ、月の使者たちが迎えに来ました。
